Let me ask you something.

When was the last time you actually enjoyed practicing your English?

Not grinding through grammar drills. Not repeating phrases from a textbook that nobody really uses in real life. But genuinely, completely enjoyed it?

If you're struggling to remember โ€” keep listening.

Here's a quick example

Here's a quick example of what this podcast sounds like.

"By 2021, large parts of the internet were becoming increasingly vulnerable to attack โ€” and vulnerable, by the way, means easy to damage or harm, like an open wound. You might say 'My laptop is vulnerable without antivirus software' or 'Small businesses are often vulnerable to scams.' Okay โ€” back to the story."

That's it. That's the format. A real story, natural English, and whenever a word comes up that might be tricky โ€” it gets explained right there, in the moment, with simple language and real examples. No pausing. No dictionary. No disruption to the story.

Your host

My name is Ryan, and I'll be your host.

I'm not going to list my qualifications โ€” I'd rather just show you what I can do. What I will say is this: I've spent years helping people go from "I kind of understand English" to actually thinking, laughing, and dreaming in it. And this podcast is the best version of everything I know, packed into one place.

How it works

Every episode, I tell you a real story. True events. Real people. Things that actually happened in the world โ€” some dramatic, some surprising, some that might genuinely change the way you see things. And the whole time, you're listening to natural, flowing English โ€” not the slow, careful kind you find in most learning content.

Later on, we'll also be doing special episodes focused on IELTS preparation โ€” speaking topics, useful vocabulary, model answers. But we're starting with stories. Because stories are how humans have always learned.

Who this is for

This podcast is for you if you're somewhere around B1 or B2 level. You understand English, you can get by โ€” but you want more. You want to feel comfortable in the language. You want to actually get what native speakers are saying, not just guess.

If that's you โ€” you're in the right place.

One last thing

Every single episode comes with a full transcript. Read along, check words you missed, review after listening. You'll find everything right here on this website.

New episodes every week. The first real story drops very soon โ€” and trust me, it's a good one.

Hit subscribe. I'll see you in Episode One.
